Port Charlotte,City between Myakka River and Peace River

Port Charlotte is located in northern Charlotte County and is part of the Historical district of Florida.

With quick access to the harbor, Port Charlotte is a perfect spot for boating and fishing and Port Charlotte holds nine of the sixteen golf courses located in Charlotte County.

Deep Creek is a newer deed-restricted community with many of the homes less than 10 years old. The community has a beautiful golf course and many of the homes have magnificent fairway views. Deep Creek was laid out so that most lots border open space.  Many homes are on freshwater lakes.

The Deep Creek Preserve is a 2000-acre park holding miles of walking trails through one of the southernmost strands of longleaf pine forest. The preserve is a relatively new park with future plans still being developed. With the exception of a small area of improved pasture this is natural Florida. Charlotte Harbor, a quiet place to live.

Charlotte Harbor has variety of River and canalfront properties. Charlotte Harbor has multi-acre estates with many large home sites and large executive homes.

Charlotte Harbor is located on the north shore of the Peace River. This unique harbor and beach community and its barrier islands is an easy drive from Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. Harbor Heights, the peaceful community.

Harbor Heights is a peaceful community bordered by the Peace River. It is at Exit 30 off I-75, making it easy for those going north to Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando, etc. or south to Ft. Myers, Naples or Miami.

Although basically a retirement community, Harbor Heights welcomes families with children. The Harbor Heights Park is on the shore of the Peace River. It is equipped with a boat ramp, fishing pier, tennis courts, basketball hoops, shuffleboard courts, playground, picnic tables, and barbecue grills. Within this community is a Methodist Church, fire department, and quick stop deli and store.  Deep Creek Elementary School is at the entrance of Harbor Heights.

Englewood, very close to beaches, golf and all water sports.

The Englewood - Cape Haze area lies in the South end of Sarasota County and the West end of Charlotte County on the Gulf of Mexico.

There is something for everyone in Englewood whether you are just visiting or planning a full time residency.  

You will find 4 beautiful Gulf beaches to choose from along with 2 State Parks and miles of fishing along Lemon Bay and the Charlotte Harbor Estuary.  

There are many professional golf courses as well as tennis and all the water sports.  Also many parks to choose from and excellent bird watching opportunities.

Currently there are over 54,000 residents living in Englewood full-time.  Although the average age is 58, there are many young families living in Englewood.  There are three elementary schools, a middle school and high school, plus a private school.

  

Punta Gorda, Waterfront lots & Waterfront Homes.

The Beautiful City of Punta Gorda is located in Southwest Florida, on the banks of the Peace River and the Gulf of Mexico. Punta Gorda is the only incorporated area in Charlotte County.

 Punta Gorda has a unique Downtown historical district with several sites on the National Register. The City also has a picturesque waterfront area with a harbor and many waterfront publicly accessible parks.

Punta Gorda has a current population of 15,000 residents and a prosperous business community. The area enjoys a significant tourist visitor population, enjoying the Florida Sunshine and the boating waterways. Charlotte Harbor, Peace River and the other waterways offer excellent sports fishing as well as the opportunity to see manatees and other wildlife.

Punta Gorda is in the midst of major community revitalization and beautification efforts. With historic preservation as a priority, the City has secured State Historic District status. The City Streetscape Program is restoring an Old Florida atmosphere to central district streets by adding brick lanes, street lamps, benches, brick planters and flowers and shade trees. The residential areas feature many brick streets lined with huge old royal palms and many old Florida-era tin roofed homes with verandas.

Unique shops and restaurants are being added throughout the City, expanding the fine reputation of Punta Gorda´s charm. There are three elementary schools, a middle school and high school with a performing arts theatre under construction. There is a hospital and significant additional medical treatment facilities in the City.

Fishermen's Village is situated on a beautiful pier in the mouth of the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor and hosts a multitude of unique waterfront shops and boutiques. There are several restaurants offering something for every palate. It is truly one of the most interesting waterfront malls in Southwest Florida. Gulf Cove, Waterfront vacant lots & Waterfront Homes.

Gulf Cove is located on the western bank of the Myakka River, north of state road 776. Grocery shopping is just minutes away on SR776 and Gulf beaches are within a 15-minute drive. This is a canal and riverfront community. Many of the riverfront homes have a fantastic view over nearly a mile of open water. The majority of the homes are located on wide canals. The canals in this area are fairly short, so boating time to the river is only a few minutes.

South Gulf Cove, the new upcoming area.

The community of South Gulf Cove is a deed-restricted community located just off Rt. 771 on the way to Boca Grande from Port Charlotte. This new community has an extensive 55 mile canal system most with sea-walls that converges into the Interceptor Lagoon. This leads to a lock near the mouth of the Myakka River and has access to Charlotte Harbor and Gulf of Mexico.

A number of the properties are designated as having sailboat access meaning that there are no bridges to the harbor.

South Gulf Cove is becoming increasingly popular with people who want affordable waterfront and a community with an expensive look and upscale feel. Many of the residents of South Gulf Cove are active in their community. There is a Yacht Club and many fine restaurants with easy driving distance. This community is also a short drive to the Gulf beaches. Just across Rt. 771 and within 15 minutes of South Gulf Cove, you'll find 4 new golf courses: Oakland Hills, Cape Haze, Long Marsh, and Palms in Rotonda Circle.
